Our participation as co-exhibitors at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo allowed us to engage with Italian and international companies, gaining a deeper understanding of their specific needs and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
For us, it has been a time of ACTIVE LISTENING to the market, which has revealed a growing interest among retailers and the food industry in transitioning from petrochemical-based food packaging solutions to cellulose-based solutions with barrier properties.
This evolution is not a passing trend, but a structural transformation of the sector, driven by the convergence of two main factors:
- Regulatory drivers, with the European PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) imposing increasingly stringent requirements on recyclability, packaging reduction, and sustainability across the entire life cycle;
- Market drivers, represented by an increasingly aware and informed end consumer who demands sustainable, circular, and transparent packaging solutions in terms of environmental impact.
